Robots are beginning to enter the retail market. Simbe Robotics, a robotics company from California, recently introduced Tally - a robot that uses both RFID and computer vision technology to assist retailers. Tally uses its sensors with machine-learning algorithms to perform inventory monitoring tasks. It provides store owners with highly accurate inventory counts as well as images of the displays in their stores. The company itself operates since 2014, focusing on bringing computer vision and robotics innovation to the retail market space.
